Our goal is to find land where the ducklings will live out their lives. Until that happens, however, we offer the majority of our ducklings to those who meet our strict criteria. Since Muscovies are considered to be an invasive species in Florida and are not protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1910, we must be extremely careful to keep our charges out of the hands of those who wish to raise them for meat. We adopt the ducklings and ducks out only if they will be the pets of those who take them. They must be fed and sheltered in places that will keep them safe.
